Tonight’s recipe is an easy and healthy meal that’s perfect for make ahead meals. Similar to the bags of frozen Birds Eye Voila Skillet Meals, where you just heat and serve. Only you control the ingredients and keep the preservatives out. Change up the cheese, meat, seasonings and pasta for lots of different flavor combinations.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 ½ cups Monterey jack shredded cheese
- 1 lb. chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth

- ½ tsp. pepper
- 1 ½ cups uncooked bowtie pasta

Does the cooked chicken go into the freezer bag with everything else? Didn’t see it say that on the instructions and want to make sure
Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living says
It does go in the bag with everything else. Thanks for catching that, Trish.
Judy Virgilio says
Can this be cooked in the instant pot ?
Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living says
Yes, sauté the chicken first. Then cook the pasta in the instant pot with all the ingredients on high for about 5 minutes.
