This giveaway is closed. Congratulations, Maureen!
I knew it was coming, I knew it was supposed to be small. When I got the box, it was even smaller than I thought. When I opened the package, I was in for an additional surprise – the detergent only took up half the packaging!
That is right, P&G has presented detergent in a small size. Same number of loads, just smaller packaging!
What is the Benefit for You?
- Smaller packaging which is easier for carrying and storing
- Less and smaller trash/waste in your garbage
- Enhanced stain removal
- In your Favorite P&G Brands – Tide, Gain, Cheer, and Deft
What is the Benefit for the Environment?
- 22 million pounds of packaging saved annually
- Four million GJs of energy saved each year (quivalent of the energy needed to provide 34 thousand average homes with electricity annually)
- Three billion liters of water saved during production and disposal (enough to fill up to 1,224 Olympic-sized swimming pools)
Sounds like a win-win situation to me!

Hairspray removes ink; peroxide removes blood. BTW, my middle schooler did a Science Fair project on the effectiveness of laundry detergents. Tide and Cheer tied for best stain-removing effectiveness. Tide really is more effective than cheaper laundry detergents. (I use cheaper laundry detergent for towels, which tend to not have stains.) With a family of 6, I do a LOT of laundry!

I take a 5 gal bucket and fill it with white baby clothes stained with spit up/formula/poopy ect.
I add the hottest water that i can draw from the tap (its so hot you can’t put your hand in it) and a lot of oxi-clean powder- stir with a broom handle, and let it sit overnight. Next day dump in the washer and run as usual. Old and/used baby clothes like new again!
