Diono Radian rXT Review – My opinion on the safety, comfort, and ascetic features of Diono’s Radian rXT Car Seat.
Diono Radian rXT Review
I would like to consider myself a car seat expert. I mean, my oldest is 9 years and I feel like I have been using (or researching) car seats non-stop for the past 10 years. When it comes to baby gear, I am actually rather frugal. There are two places, however, that I invest in my purchase for my child 1.) Shoes 2.) Car Seats (everything else is purchased at consignment shops, shopping Craigslist or shopping Facebook Groups – one man’s trash, is another women’s treasure!)
Anyhoo, shoes. I would rather have a few pairs of shoes that help my growing toddlers feet (especially during those first steps) than a bunch of cheap shoes that can hurt my child’s food. When it comes to car seats, for me it is all about safety! As many of you know I have two elementary aged girls, who are now out of car seats (booster seats) – finally! The car seat law goes pretty late up here in Virginia – up to 8 years old. However, in additional to my girls, I have a young baby who is 11 months old and I have twin boys that are due in 4 months – Ahhh. That is going to put me with three young kids in car seats. And not just an easy booster seat, car seats that can support my kids, cradle them and will protect for side-impact or should a collision occur.
Since my initially search for car seats, I did not shop frugal. I shopped wisely. First of all, I took advantage of trade in events to save money. Did you know that this occurs often at Babies (Toys) R Us? I also pay attention to discounts. Sometimes during major holiday weekends (or even Black Friday) I can save a little more. I also frequently checkout the Amazon Lightning and Daily Deals. In my latest research, safety was very important to me and being able to fit three car seats in a row (side-by-side) was incredibly important to me. After all, if the kids don’t fit in the car, then the car seat doesn’t matter.

I recently talked to another mother of 5 and she suggest Diono Car Seats. They are easy to install; they are incredibly safe; they are comfortable; they are safety tested and highly rated – they completely covered my check list! Best of all, in most cars/vans/SUVs they can fit 3 across – meaning I can have all three kids in the same row of my minivan (yes, I became a minivan mom this summer!) I looked a lot at the website to find the perfect model for our family. Any of the Diono Radian seats will fit 3 across in most mid-size vehicles, this included the Radian rXT.

I personally love the fabric. I went with a neutral style (the Essex). The memory foam cushion is thick, comfortable, and very easy to clean. There are optional infant body support cushions for younger children. The car seat cover is machine washable.
Looking back, one of the bigger mistakes I made as a first time parent was buying an infant car seat and buying a toddler car seat and buying a booster… that is three car seat purchases for one child – ouch! Luckily I was able reuse a couple of the car seats, but not all of them as they either expired or both girls needed the same style car seat at the same time. The Diono Radian rXT is the only car seat you could ever need! The Diono radian rXT all-in-one car seat provides unmatched safety for your child from birth to booster – and every marvelous moment in between. With a 10 year life from the date of purchase, this car seat is well worth the investment. My wallet says thank you!

The car seat was easy to install! It is a heavier car seat so being pregnant with twins, I did need my husbands help. This might be the only negative I had as I am a pretty independent person (wife/mom). There are rubber bottom grips for no-slip installation. This was nice against my leather seats.
I don’t think my opinions are alone. It looks like others love the car seat as well – take a look at these rewards!
Currently the Diono website has a few of their car seats on sale (my language!) All car seats come with FREE shipping (also my language!) Tell me your favorite!
