In most cases, the boxes don’t include an Elf on the Shelf. Etsy typically takes longer to ship than sites like Amazon, so order early to get yours on time for arrival day.

Don’t want to spend money on a quarantine arrival kit? Easy! Using a mason jar, create a 2020 Elf on the Shelf Quarantine Jar. All you need is a mason jar and your Elf! Put your Elf doll inside and decorate the jar however you see fit.

We made our own Elf on the Shelf Quarantine Jar. We added a little sign that says, “Elf Isolation House” and a countdown to when Elf could get out. Your kids will look forward to crossing out the days and getting closer to Elf’s release date!

If you want to step up your Elf on the Shelf Quarantine Jar, you can add this DIY Elf on the Shelf Quarantine Jar vinyl. It has a 14-day countdown on the back, so you don’t have to create your own sign. It’s all right there on the jar!

The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD.
