Is springtime buzzing with activity at your house? It sure is for us, so we thought we would bring you a simple but buzz worthy creation for your home.
All you’ll need is…
- A wooden initial (first or last name will do!)
- A sheet of moss (sold in sheets that are folded and bagged at your local craft store)
- A hot glue gun
- A craft knife
- Embellishments such as bees, butterflies optional (found in the florist section of your local craft store)
Unfold the sheet of moss on a flat surface. We recommend laying down an old tablecloth. That makes cleaning up the moss debris easier! With a heated glue gun, outline the initial (the side that you want to cover with moss) with a fair amount of glue. Quickly, arrange your wooden initial on the sheet of moss face side down. Apply a little pressure to make sure the moss has adhered to the initial. Use an craft knife to trim away excess moss. Depending on the season, add embellishments to your initial. We couldn’t resist these little bumblebees. We didn’t have to glue them on; we just tucked their legs in the moss which allows for an easy change out later on. However, a spot of glue on an adornment wouldn’t hurt.
So quick and simple that you can buzz on to your next activity!
