We are back, so is the Elf! If you have been with us a long time, you know we have brought you a new Elf on the Shelf Idea EVERY DAY (in November and December) for the past four years

I’m Back Gumdrops! We have a few ways for you to reintroduce your Elf into your home. First, Elf comes back with a welcome back package. Second, Elf comes back through an Elf Door.  Third, Elf Comes Back as a Thanksgiving Turkey! Today we have another option, I’m Back Gumdrops. This can also be done with Skittles, M&Ms, alphabet pasta and more!

What is Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas Tradition. The tradition has a book and a elf doll. The book is poetic and in rhyme sharing the purpose of the Elf’s visits. The Elf visits each Thanksgiving. He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD.

I’m Back Sign! Alright guys, let me let you in on a little secret. I have been doing Elf on the Shelf for years. Sometimes I run out of creativity. In addition to lack of creativity, I am on bed rest with twins who tried to make their arrival at 28 weeks. THUS, I needed help with the Elf this year. I am crafty. I can be creative. But I needed support. With that, Etsy became my friend this Elf on the Shelf season!

I picked up some wonderful things on Etsy I can’t wait to share with you, including this I’m Back Sign Elf Sign.  This was incredibly easy for a mom who can’t get out of bed. Hand the Elf to the husband. Hand him the I’m back Elf on the Shelf sign. Ask him to find a place to place Elf. Easy, Peasy. Little effort.

WELCOME BACK ELF! We have a couple ways for you to reintroduce your Elf into your home. Today we start with a package or a special delivery! Consider cutting a hole through the top of the package and having elf pop through. It’s an adorable idea and your kids will find Elf when they head to school that morning waiting for them on the front porch. Consider adding treats in your box, fake snow, or keep it empty (if the kids don’t need an extra “just because gift!” In our photo, we added some doll house packages.
