Calling all Starbucks fans! You’re not going to want to miss out on this Starbucks Chocolate Bomb recipe! Why spend a ton at the store when you can make them at home for a fraction of the cost? With just six simple ingredients needed, you can’t go wrong with this easy and delicious treat.
STARBUCKS CHOCOLATE BOMB
I’m a huge fan of literally anything with the words chocolate and Starbucks. But combined? I’m over-the-moon crazy about this simple treat. So much so that I find myself making this easy hot cocoa bomb recipe all year long.
Because why wouldn’t you want to have a treat that is all your own? I love Starbucks and being able to have a bit of “me” time and make something that I don’t have to share. (don’t judge me – I literally share everything else all the time!)
The other really great thing about this simple hot chocolate bomb is that it’s an awesome gift idea, too. Make these up for a family member, friend, teacher, or coach. Use these fun “Thanks a Latte” gift tags as a way to spruce up the gift and complete the look!
HOW DO YOU USE HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS?
There are a couple of different ways that you can use them. I prefer to put them in the bottom of my mug and cover them with warm milk, but some people use hot water instead. (I think it’s to cut down on the fat content but in my opinion, the milk adds a much-needed and delicious sweetness!)
HOW DO YOU STORE HOT COCOA BOMBS?
They’re actually quite shelf-stable! You can put them in a container with a lid and store them for a few weeks without worry. Although I highly doubt that they’d hang around that long, waiting to be enjoyed.
WHERE TO BUY HOT COCOA BOMBS
While I highly suggest making them homemade, you can also buy them to save time, too. Some of the best places that I recommend buying hot chocolate bombs are:
HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS AMAZON
HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS ALDI
HOT COCOA BOMBS COSTCO
HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS WALMART
HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS TARGET
ETSY HOT CHOCOLATE BOMBS
All are going to be different flavors and looks so you’ll have a ton of great choices to choose from.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Chocolate Candy Melts
- 2 cups Hot Chocolate Mix
- 2 cups Mini Marshmallows (I used green ones)
- ¼ cup Starbucks-Colored Sprinkles Mix
- 1 cup TAZO Chai Tea Latte Concentrate
- ½ cup White Chocolate Candy Melts
Instructions
- Put the candy melts into a bowl that is microwave-safe and melt according to the directions on the package.
- Put 1 T of the candy melt into one side of the mold. Press the melted chocolate up the sides and keep it nice and thick. Do this for all 12 molds.
- Put the molds in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Take them out of the freeze and peel the mold away to get the chocolate out.
- Put 1 T of hot chocolate mix and 1 tsp of chai tea into 6 of the molds. Give the tea time to soak in the hot chocolate mix for about 2-3 minutes.
- Put in some sprinkle and up to 8 marshmallows.
- Put a plate in the microwave and warm until the surface is warm to the touch.
- Take one of the empty chocolate bombs and put the open side down gently on the warm plate for up to 10 seconds. You’re wanting to melt the rim just a little bit.
- Once melted, take and put it on top of one of the filled halves. This connects the two and creates the circle.
- Melt the white candy melts the same way that you did the chocolate ones.
- Using a fork, drizzle the melted white melts over the top of the cocoa bombs and add on more sprinkles.
- Put them in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- To use, pour over 2 cups of warm milk, stir, and enjoy!

Our recommendation is, if you don’t know what you are doing, just say “give me a hot chocolate!” It can get complicated with so many tastes and blends.
