Dr. Seuss Activities for Preschool
While Arts & Crafts are often looked at as a fun preschool activity, they actually have huge importance on the development of preschoolers. Most arts and crafts activities consist of moving fingers and hands, developing fine motor skills, muscles strength and the improvement of control. They also include decision making and understanding the purpose of scissors, glue placement, shapes that come together to create a larger picture. Blending crafts can also take place with creating a love of early literacy using many popular and well-loved children’s books.
Who is Dr. Seuss?
Dr. Seuss is a famous writer and cartoonist who published over 60 Children’s books. He was born in 1904 and died in 1991, but with his death was not lost the enjoyment of his beloved books. Dr. Seuss books are a great way to introduce stories, new vocabulary and a little silly humor into the young minds of preschoolers.
