Elf Themed Games List Printable PDF
Blind Bluff Elf Game
In a room safe from any breakable objects or dangerous edges, declare one person the blind elf. This person is blindfolded and must walk around ONLY on their knees. All of the other players move around the room trying to avoid getting tagged by the Blind Elf. However, during the whole game, all players except the blind elf must sing an agreed-upon Christmas song. Once a player is tagged, they become the blind elf and the game begins again.
Santa’s on the Rooftop Game
This game has one person who will be the “leader.” The other players all lay on their backs in a circle. The players all agree on a “keyword.” For instance, Candy Cane. The leader than begins calling out places that Santa might be like, Santa’s in his workshop. At the end of each of the caller’s sentences all of the players shout back, “SANTA!” For example, “Santa’s on his sled” SANTA. Santa’s flying over my house. SANTA. At some point, the leader says the keyword OR incorporates the keyword into his phrase…”Santa’s in Hawaii eating Candy Canes.” All of the players lying down must jump up. The last one to jump up is the new leader.
Naughty or Nice 4 Corners Game
Choose a room with four available corners for standing. Using paper, label the corners 1, 2, 3 and 4. One person is chosen as IT and goes outside of the room. IT stands in the doorway with his/her back turned towards the room and counts to 20. All of the players go and stand in a corner. At the end of counting, IT chooses a number and says, “Everyone in corner 2 is NAUGHTY.” All of those players then sit in the middle of the room and are out. The remaining players then change corners while IT counts again. The game continues until there is only one player left on the NICE list.
Elf Ears Game
One person is chosen as the Elf and they sit on the floor blindfolded. All of the other players join hands and walk in a circle singing a Christmas Song like “Jingle Bells.” At the end of the song, the circle stops moving and the Elf in the middle uses his/her Elf Ears to try and identify the person in the circle directly behind them by name. If they get it wrong, they stay in the middle. If they get it correct, the person they named becomes the new Elf Ears.
Head Workshop Elf Game
Gather 10 (or more) Christmas objects from the house and place them in a row. One person is named Head Elf and stands facing away from the objects with his/her eyes shut. While the Head Elf counts to 10, one of the players should sneakily take one object and then return to sitting with the object behind their backs. All of the other players put their hands behind their backs as well. The Head Elf then turns around and tries to see what has been taken from Santa’s Workshop AND guess who took it. If they guess both correctly, they get to choose the next Head Elf.

Elfie, Alfie, OOH OOH Game
Choose one person to hide a small object in a designated room (a touchable elf doll works great for this!) At least one part of the object must be in plain sight. The other players then come into the room and look for the object. When they find the object they shout, “Elfie, Alfie OOH OOH!” A variation for older kids is that the finders don’t GET the object, they just shout the phrase when they see it. Other players keep looking until everyone has shouted Elfie Alfie OOH OOH.
Keep Cold, Snowman Game
One person controls a music player. The other players collect one less pillow than there are players. These pillows are placed all over the floor. The other players are snowmen trying to keep cold on the “snow piles”(pillows). When the music begins the snowmen start leaping from pillow to pillow. When the music stops, the snowman without a pillow melts and takes over the music. Also, look at our North Pole Helper Ideas with Games. This includes Elf Ideas you can do for your Elf Doll.
