Head over to Audible and get the FREE Audio Book Download Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. This is actually how I “read” the book this summer.
Complete your purchase then go to “my library” to download the audio file. I always put them on my iTunes to listen to the book there.
Thanks, Common Sense with Money.
I have told many of you my secret for reading books.
1.) I don’t have time to sit with a book.
2.) I don’t like to purchase books.
My Solution = BOOKS ON CD or Audible.com.
I LOVE books on Audio. I just finished two – “Water for Elephants” and Beth Moore’s “When Godly People Do UnGodly Things.” One being entertainment or fiction, another being spiritual and self-help.
I listen to books in the car, when I am cooking, when I am falling asleep. EVERY SECOND I CAN GET.
Where do I get Audio Books? I often get books at my library. I grab the CD version of the book, upload it to my iPod and then erase it when I am done listening. This was not always working for me, though, because my library did not carry Audios of many of the books I wanted to read.
My Newest Find: Audible.com. Right now when you sign up you get a FREE 14 day trial PLUS you get one FREE book. I decided to keep mine beyond the trial and then each month I get 1 credit or one FREE book download. TOTALLY worth it to me.
I REALLY encourage you to try Audible.com. If worse comes to worse, you cancel your trial within the 14 day period and end up with one FREE Audio Read. If you decide to keep the membership, may $14.95/month. Members also have a section for FREE audio downloads, so during your trial or subscription you could stock up.
To remember to cancel your Audible membership, place a reminder on your phone, your calendar, and perhaps on your bathroom mirror as a post it.
