I can’t live without my insulated water bottle. It keeps my water cold all day, and I love keeping it by my bed at night because I know I won’t have lukewarm water when I wake up for a drink. I wear sandals as long as I can, and I’m itching for long stretches of warmish weather so I can break them out and buy some cute new ones. If you’re wanting to treat yourself to new footwear, you’ll want to check out these stylish sandals for spring and summer.

Well the stores are starting their back to school season whether you feel it or not.

Below is a run down of what deals you can find (so far) for back to school.

Staples: This coming week (July 19 – 26) Staples has some great items for FREE – $2. See the full list Here.

You can also sign up for a Techers Reward Card Here (if you are a teacher) and sometimes just by showing your school ID they increase the limit for teachers. They have done this for me in years past. They also have an upcoming Teacher Appreciation Day where a tote back of FREEBIES for teachers will be given. Get more information and your local event’s time and date Here.

Office Depot: If you are a teacher and are not signed up for the Star Appreciate Program, make sure you sign up Here. They have a Teacher Appreciation breakfast where teachers get a toteback of FREE stuff and 10% off with their Star Appreciation Card. The breakfast likely is the date of August 22 (in my area – north FL) judging form years past. I would call your local Office Depot to find the date in your area.

Oh what a day! I found out my Maytag refrigerator was recalled Sunday and the repair was supposed to take place tomorrow. Here are the events of the day.

I met my husband at Sprint for a new cell phone (doing research to get a better plan.) The cell phone did not work so instead of taking the normal 45 minutes to get set up we spent around 15 minutes in the store. I HAD to come home (I had no plans to, I was going to be out for 2 more hours) but I did not have a moment to cut my coupons for my Publix run today. So, my daughter and I came home to get the coupons.

I walked in the house and panicked. Clearly SOMETHING was burning. My initial response was that it was the dishwasher (It has been on and I assumed plastic fell down around the metal)…it wasn’t. I check the fire place (gas) the laundry room, everywhere (but the refrigerator.) After calling 911 (my mother instinct told me something was REALLY bad) I carried the baby, doggies, and cat all outside to the front yard (with my LOVELY neighbors – thanks guys.) My husband, who was on the phone with me asked if I got my computer (haha) – I had not, but I did go back inside, okay so I shouldn’t have.

All in all, the department came, took care of identifying the problem – it was the refrigerator (not full flames yet! – PRAISE THE LORD) and the repair company is on the way. It was all electrical. Had a waited longer…well you know the rest.

What to take away 1) I am taking these recalls seriously – getting them done ASAP 2) I will NEVER be fearful to call 911 when my daughter and I could be in trouble 3) The Biggest and MOST IMPORTANT Lesson – GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME. I was NOT supposed to come home for a couple of hours and he arranged the events of the day so that I did. Thank you, Lord.
