Apple & Chicken Pup Pops
If you have a dog, we know what a dog lover you are. You make so many things for your kids, family, spouse, and it’s always fun to spoil the little pup too! We love this Homemade Dog Food Recipe – Apple & Chicken Pup Pops!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup homemade unsalted chicken broth (see below)
- 1/2 Cup water
- 1 Gala apple
- Pork Rawhide Sticks
You will also need:
Directions:
- In a measuring cup, mix together your unsalted chicken stock and water.
- Wash and slice your apple into bite size pieces.
- Add a few apple pieces to your paper cups, fill halfway with your unsalted chicken broth.
- Place a pork rawhide twist into the center and freeze for about 3 hours.
- Peel your paper cups off and your dog can have a cold treat.
Homemade Chicken Broth:
1.) Place your leftover chicken carcass in a large pot and cover with water.
2.) Let it simmer for about 90 minutes.
3.) Now strain out your broth, discarding all bones and meat.

Rawhide has been proven to be terrible for dogs and can make them very sick. A better option would be a bully stick or some other natural product from a good pet supply store.
