I just got these for our new home. We have some dark stairways and THEY ARE AMAZING – seriously one of the best purchases I’ve made for our home! TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH THEM! The picture has them displayed on the wall, I have mine on the baseboard. Using a command-type strip (they give you) you place on the wall, no drilling required. I placed mine every three steps. Make sure you have Subscribe and Save Amazon Batteries, expect to change the batteries (AA) about three times a year.
