Walgreens has placed their coupon policy on their website. This is nice to have when you are shopping if you run into trouble with a cashier or manager. Print out a copy and place it in your Walgreen’s envelope/folder.

Thanks so much! I printed a copy to carry with me. I’ve had so many problems at my Walgreens. They have told me you cannot use a coupon on an item on clearance. If a coupon exceeds the amount of an item they won’t reduce the coupon and won’t let me use it. Also with a B1G1F they will only allow me to use 1 coupon and not 2. They say because your only BUYING 1 item, getting the other for free so you cannot use a coupon on the free item. So glad I have this policy to carry with me so I can get the bargains everyone else has been getting.

Hello saving sisters! I had a recent issue at my local WG’s. Same problemo as everyone else, no coupons on clearance, or B1G1’s. So, I asked for their corporate coupon policy after the manager tried to BULLY me at the register. He treated me like I WAS A DUMMY. Now let me say, I have a law degree. In order to get a law degree you have do do LOTS of reading and paying very close attention to words and how words are placed in sentences, like on coupons. LOL. So, after the attempted bullying and being treated like an idiot, I asked for their coupon policy. This man mustered his most disgusted tone and said “There’s no corporate coupon policy lady (yup, he called me ‘lady’).” That was like the stop light turning green for me. I told him to hold on a sec, that I was going to call the 1-800 number on speaker phone for everyone to hear. As you can imagine, he tried to scurry away, but I firmly said “Hey, you wouldnt be trying to run off now that I’m calling your bluff would you now?” All the women laughed. 1-800 told him there was indeed a coupon policy, that he’s required to have it behind the counter and to go into his office that very moment and print it out from the website. I got a call the next day from his district manager informing me that because of his heritage (I wont mention which country he was from because I’m not a spec racist of other cultures or peoples AT ALL) this particular manager has gotten lots and lots of complaints regarding the manner in which he treats women. Apparently, in their culture, women are subserviant. Hey, whatever works for them, BUT here in the good ole’ USA it doesnt fly. Particulary when you are being paid and we treat women equally. Sure, I’m ranting a little bit, but I got truly offended by being bullied and spoken down to sooooo harshly in front of many people when all I wanted was to save some money. I was belittled by this man for challenging him by merely asking to see something he should have been aware of at HIS JOB. I wasnt snarky, hostile or arguementative, not at all. So, apparently, this was the last straw. He was indeed fired after that. They held a mini meeting giving all employees a printed coupon policy to learn. I would guess that after the “Extreme Couponing” show, more folks are coming into Walgreens with their policy knowledge and coupons. Go couponers!
